++++++++ Recommended NEEDLES: Size US 8 (5mm), in any length. [US7 or US9 would also work, but US 8 should be especially comfortable for beginners. My personal favorite are bamboo needles, or wood.] ++++++ Recommended YARN: "Wool-Ease Worsted" by Lion Brand Yarn is synthetic with just enough wool to make it feel nice, but still be machine washable and dry-able! -OR- "Patons Classic Wool Worsted" is 100% wool, but you must hand wash and air dry, or it will shrink/felt! -OR- "Simply Soft" by Caron is a silky-feeling synthetic (100% acrylic), and machine washable. +++++ Any worsted weight yarn (it will say worsted or be labeled "Medium/4") should work, but just be aware of its care instructions! You'll want about 190 yards at least, and all of the above skeins have this much or more.
