Join Textile Artist and Costume Designer Nina Winter for a tour of the Wichita Wore What? A Century of Local Fashion exhibition before this show closes on August 6.

Look closely at the garments on display through Nina’s perspective as a fashion designer, including sewing techniques, fabrics, and historical influences on fashion today.

Nina has an MFA in Fashion Design & Merchandising from the Academy of Art – San Francisco and runs TISSU Sewing Studio, now in its ninth year of providing sewing and fashion education to our community.

About WAM Nights: We’re open late on Fridays until 9 pm! Get your weekend started with after-hours access to the galleries, dinner at 1400 by Elderslie (‘Happy Hour’ drinks 3-6 pm), or shopping in the Museum Store. Gourmet Fashion is where fashion meets food with our fundraiser dinner hosted at Odd Fellow Hall. Attendees will experience five curated courses by Chef Bill Crites and Jimmy Vo as well as five crafted cocktails by Mixologist Wm. Cody Lonergan inspired by the runway looks from five designers from ICT Fashion Tour's 2022 lineup (Maria Egger, Sydney Lenox, Ashley Knepper, Anri, & Nina Winter).

Dress your best as you feast on the exquisite food & drinks from Odd Fellow Hall and feast your eyes and ears on the designs, music, & choreography of our extraordinary runway show.

A percentage of ticket sales will go towards ICT Fashion Tour to fund our 2023 shows and artists.

Doors open at 6pm and will lock at 7pm. Seating for this dinner is first come first serve (per General/VIP section). If you plan on dining with a large party, please plan to arrive as early as possible.

There will be a wonderful STITCH LOUNGE to sit and create...so bring your current WIP and hang with us! Are you a beginning knitter who needs a little help with your current project? No problem, come by and we'll get you fixed up. Come shop, mingle, create and DONATE!

It's our first workshop of the SUMMER! Learn sewing basics (machine setup, textile properties) by designing & constructing your very own cotton fabric mask with filter pocket. Students will get to choose textiles & elastic (non-latex, antimicrobial bands available for sensitive skin) after registration. SUMMER SPECIAL! Free mask kit to take home to sew another one woohoo!
