CALLING ALL ARTISTS & SEWISTS! Submit your entries from now until Monday, Oct. 20.
This Halloween Night (October's Final Friday 10/31/14), TISSU is hosting an art show & costume contest, and we want your submissions! It is free to enter, and winners in the art show and costume competition will receive fabulous prizes!!!!
1. COSTUME CONTEST: No need to pre-register, just show up decked out and ready to strut your stuff! Contestants should arrive by 6:30pm to register, and the competition/runway show will begin at 7:00pm. Costumes must be at least 70% handmade to qualify to compete, and will be judged on CREATIVITY, ORIGINALITY & CRAFTSMANSHIP.
2. ART SHOW: All local artists are invited to submit their work for inclusion into TISSU's Halloween Art Show. Works should focused on any Halloween theme of your choice, including but not limited to the supernatural, horror, fantasy, costumes, candy, skeletons, harvest time, gothic, monsters, etc...! Acceptable mediums include collage/mixed-media; acrylic, oil, or watercolor paint; charcoal; pencil; marker; photography; or anything you can hang on the wall. Each artist may submit up to 5 entries.
Art entry deadline is October 20! The reception for this show will be on Friday, October 31. Any unsold art* must be picked up by Saturday, November 22.
